Williams' reinstatement is no smoke and mirrors

He's back. Ricky Williams is back in the NFL.

(Hear the crickets?)

But it makes sense--doesn't it? The Dolphins are in desperate need of a RB, but Williams? He's burned the 'Fins so bad in the past and made them look bad, so even though Cam Cameron is coach now and the team is really searching for some positive energy, they won't surely find it in Williams, who is an odd bird at best. Plus, there's no telling what he could do from day to day--it's kind of like how Dennis Rodman was--but in a very peculiar way of not really having too much reason as to "why" he is the way he is. At least with Rodman you braced for what was coming--Williams is just a wolf in sheep's clothing.

The Dolphins have to decide what to do--cut or keep--and the Rams and Pats may be interested in him. But--still--why? In the fantasy world, only unless you've been hit by Cadillac Williams, Steven Jackson, and Shaun Alexander's injuries, he's not an option. Pick him up, and your chances of success may go up in smoke. (Pun intended).
