Will Brady eclipse Manning's mark?

Fantasy owners have always been cool on Tom Brady; for years, he put up decent numbers, some great games here and there, and he won games--but he wasn't exactly the hyped-up fantasy name like Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Drew Brees, Marc Bulger, or even Matt Hasselbeck.

That all has changed.

With 5 TDs against a decent Dallas Cowboys defense, Brady has put his name in a certain category that no one had even sniffed until Manning went pass-crazy a few years ago: most TDs in a single season. Notwithstanding the franchise record he also set on Sunday, he also set an NFL record for most consecutive games with three or more TDs.

The difference is not rocket science---for years, the Patriots relied upon having decent WRs, but no one that stood out amongst the rest. This year, they have Randy Moss; this is really the first opportunity Brady has had in his career to have an all-star WR on his team, and if you think it really doesn't make a difference, ask Donovan McNabb how things have been since TO left, and ask Tony Romo what it means to have him; make sure to question Daunte Culpepper what it was like to not have Moss, and see what Carson Palmer would think if Chad Johnson didn't suit up for the Bengals. It's clear---Moss is what everyone thought he should have been all along--a great receiver making a good team superior. While many will argue that the Colts still have the franchise edge at this time, the fact remains that Brady is uber-scary at this point, and it could only become much more prevalent week in and week out--mark your calendars folks, Nov. 4 at Indy--it's gonna be something to watch....
