Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

The injuries continue to mount up--fantasy owners are scared, they feel cursed, they feel used and abused. (Ok, a little melodramatic). Still, with the bug of aches and pains turning into a near-plague, owners have been clamoring for fresh blood, albeit that these may be handcuffs--we want instant gratification, so let's see who's out there for ya!

Kurt Warner, Arizona-if you are reading this right now and Warner is still available, drop everything and get to your league and click the "add" button. With Matt Leinart out for the season, Warner is the man and when he's already been used this season he looks solid. Godspeed.

Ken Darby, Tampa Bay--Pick him up if you dare. FFL naturalists will tell you that you can never have enough running backs. I never thought it would come to this, but if you need help, he's evidently the next person the Bucs will be handing off to. Who know, they may pick up OJ next week, from what I understand he could use the money.

Jason Wright, Cleveland--Jamal Lewis has really not surprised that many people who thought his effectiveness was gone once he donned a Browns uniform. With Wright, who ran for 59 yards against a staunch Pats defense, not only do you have fresh blood, but someone who could do better than the washed up Lewis. He's worth a shot.

Cleo Lemon, Dolphins--Trent Green more than likely will be out for quite some time. Sure, the Dolphins are already pitiful on offense, but if you need a bye week fill in or are already hurting at QB, it's not a bad idea to pick him up. He won't put up anything spectacular, but anything is better than zero, right?

Kellen Clemons, Jets--Just a hunch here, but something tells me that Chad Pennington's countdown is occurring faster than Joe Torre's is (and that's fast). Clemons has already come in against a good defense (Ravens) and proven his mettle. If Pennington so much as sneezes incorrectly, I see Clemons being thrust into the starter's role until he loses it.
