Week 3 Wonders and Worries

Well, I didn't do too shabby last week with my predictions. Now, yes, some of them were no brainers, but hey--I DID say Jamal Lewis would kick it old-school, right? RIGHT? Hello? Is this thing on??

Anyhoo, here's some things to chew on...

Matt Leinart--Run. Run away fast--no--faster!! After the Ravens literally had their way with the Jets last week, they solidified themselves again as one of the premier defenses in the league. Leinart will be sore for the next week.

Edgerrin James--Might as well and throw him in now too. I know, I know, Edge has had a phenomenal start, one of the best of his career, but the Ravens are just waiting to get a piece of him. Plus, Edge has not always been the most consistent player anyways. This week will prove that.

Lee Evans--last week, I mistakenly proclaimed him to maybe have 200 yards against the Steelers. No, you can NOT have any of what I am smoking. So, I'll flip again--another tough week faces Evans and the double teams that he has to endure. Sorry, Lee.

Chris Cooley--He continues to amaze me. If you have him, play him every week, at RB, or TE, Waterboy, Usher, whatever, get him in your lineup. He's one of the most versatile and productive players and he won't dissapoint.

Drew Brees-I know that most fantasy owners should shrug their shoulders and say "wait and see", but don't. He'll have a good day, and he's due. Being at home, he should be ready to explode.

Ahman Green--Yes, he is still alive! ALIVE! But many will shy away from him this week because he's playing the upstart Colts defense. Don't believe the hype--with Andre Johnson out of the lineup, Green will get more touches and therefore more opportunity. Give him a shot.

Laurence Maroney--I already wrote a column for him this week, so I'll continue to shout his name. Play him or pay. You'll see.

Alright, well nothing really else is sticking out to me this week that is of significance. May the fantasy gods be with ye....
