Taylor trying his hands--make that feet--on TV show

Jason Taylor has always been the "anti" pro football player in the respect of being someone who seems very loyal to one team, a "pretty boy" amongst medieval looking vikings, and just an overall nice guy. This type of "personality" is also doing something no active NFL player has ever done--compete in the celebrity dance competition "Dancing with the Stars".

Athletes have historically had a really good showing overall with the show, much in due part to the physical demands of learning the steps as well as the practice times which many times literally breaks down the "normal" celebrities. Along with Taylor, other sports celebrities include Monica Seles (tennis) and Kristi Yamaguchi (skating). There's already been an olympic champion that has won the competition--Apollo Anton Ohno, but that doesn't mean that Taylor isn't a favorite.

With his movie-star looks and popularity already in the NFL, he could follow in the footsteps of Emmitt Smith, who won the competition a few years ago. Either way, it's a good thing for the NFL to have such a competitor and overall good guy representing them--such a change from the "Pacman" Jones debacles that surface way too much.
