• Super city in the making
  In December, Jacksonville leaders agreed to shed the city's formal slogan, "The Bold New City of the South," which dates back to Lyndon Johnson's presidency. They settled on "Jacksonville. Where Florida Begins." Some unsolicited suggestions for the new slogan was received by the city, the firm in charge of the rebranding and The Florida Times Union. This one is my personal favorite; "It's Not That Bad".
• Super Bowl trip has super high price
  $12,000 for airfare, hotel rooms, meals and Super Bowl tickets. If you want a really good seat, we're talking about $5500 per, or about $90 per minute, or about $250 to take a leak during the game.
• Lewis will miss the Super Bowl  
  Chad Lewis had a great Championship Game, but his absence won't hurt them that much. L.J. Smith is more than capable of stepping up and Owens will be back in the fold.
• ABC says Eagle Terrell Owens was second choice in towel skit -- to John Madden  
  So why didn't Madden show up to have a freshly showered Nicollette Sheridan run into his arms? ABC said he was too busy. Translation; they were worried about his ticker.
• NFL Bridges Generations in Super Bowl XXXIX Pregame Show  
  Bridging generations? With Paul McCartney and Kelly Clarkson? That's one big-ass bridge.
• Most eclectic Super Bowl Pregame Show ever  
  Fox should run the NFL. They get it.
