Ricky Williams Looking to Come Back. Dolphins Stocking Up on Cupcakes, Doritos.

Ricky's ready to play, but totally has a case of the munchies.

Don't know you if you've heard but everyone's favorite bearded marijuana/yoga enthusiast is trying to come back to the NFL and bring joy to the lives of all us fans. I for one say, welcome back Ricky!

A guy like Ricky is what makes the NFL so much fun. From his crazy hair styles, to his non-sensical rambling as his press conferences, there is never a dull moment. Plus you always wonder when the other shoe is going to drop and he's going to fail ANOTHER drug test.

It's funny that he's asked for reinstatement at the same time Roger Goodell has called Pac Man "Make It Rain" Jones and Chris Henry to his office to discuss their off-field hi-jinks. I'm sure he's ecstatic to let Ricky back into the league.

I suppose the question now becomes, do the Dolphins still want Ricky, and if not, what team does? He did show in 2005 that he still can be a productive NFL back, but is he worth the headaches that come along with him? The Dolphins have a new head coach, and now may not be the time to be dealing with someone like Ricky. They also have a pretty good back already in Ronnie Brown, who showed last year he can carry the load if necessary, but in today's NFL most teams have at least two productive backs because it's pretty rare for a runner to be able to take the consistent pounding all the time. Ricky could be good in an "occasional" carry capacity, but I think his time as a premier NFL back has gone "up in smoke" (get it? get it? THAT'S A FUNNY PUN!).

In the end I think Ricky will still be a Dolphin and will be used as the Michael Turner to Ronnie Brown's LaDainian Tomlinson in Cameron's offense, but the Phins should be wary....one puff of smoke and Ricky's gone again. Hopefully though, if only for the comedy value, Ricky sticks around a little longer this time. If not I'm sure the Canadians will take him back, they're pretty laid back up there.
