Restraining the order around Moss

rmoss1.jpg

There's always distractions around the Super Bowl. For one, there's generally big questions and tough answers that the stars have to deal with. But rarely is there one as odd as superstar Randy Moss having news that his restraining order has been extended to the end of March.

The accuser, Rachelle Washington, has had the restraining order extended whereby Moss can't be within 500 feet of her. Of course, friends and relatives of Moss are saying that the charges and order is completely bogus, of an "extortion" nature, and that she has already demanded money prior to the Patriots' game with the Jaguars.

This is one of those things that are really laughable on the biggest stage. Moss has had such a non-productive playoff season that one has to really wonder if it has been the defenses being thrown at him or if this is playing with his head and therefore his production. My guess would be no--Moss doesn't seem the type to put much stock into caring about what anyone thinks about him, but there has to be an explanation why a guy who broke a huge TD record held for two decades by Jerry Rice looks less than average over the course of the biggest games of his career.

The circus music continues to play.....
