Owens to return to Cowboys

towens1.jpg

Terrell Owens will be back with the Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones plans to pay Owens' $3 million roster bonus, which means the All-Pro wide receiver will be back for the final season of his three-year, $25 million contract.

Perhaps one of the reasons the Cowboys acted so quickly on this was because of the uncertainty facing their other solid receiver, Terry Glenn, who is in the twilight of the career and missed 15 games last year. While I am surprised that Jones didn't test the free agent market first, there's no doubting that Owens' presence on the team is a must.

While some people criticized Tony Romo for his apparent "choke" in the playoffs, Owens stepped up and even cried during a press conference defending his QB. While I still think that TO is always out for number 1, I still think that he has found a good place in Dallas and he will be able to continue to build Romo's confidence back up.
