No Moore Mewelde

When the Vikings made the strategic decision to stockpile RBs like bottled-water before a natural disaster, many thought Chester Taylor would be the big loser. But with OTAs and minicamps done, it has become pretty clear that Childress is gunning for a McAllister-Bush type of scenario between Taylor and Peterson with increasing chatter about getting them on the field together frequently. So upon further reflection, it seems obvious that Mewelde Moore is the odd man out. Despite lacking toughness and durability, Moore has consistently produced when healthy, and has excelled in 3rd-down situations. But in this game of musical chairs Mewelde Moore looks like the guy without a seat. Moore will have to contribute in the return game, and wait for an injury to befell Taylor or Peterson before getting another shot at securing a regular role. Moore has been relegated to luxury insurance for Minnesota, and is now a prime candidate to be traded and running for another team in 2008.
