NFL Draft Weekend Video Study: Offense

It's the weekend, and for most that means kicking back and relaxing after a hard week at the office. In that vein, I really don't feel the need to challenge you with witty sarcasm and opinions today, instead I've compiled some highlight videos of some of the top prospects in the draft. Some are even set to snappy music! So watch and learn folks....

WIDE RECEIVERS

Calvin Johnson

As this video shows, Calvin Johnson is pretty awesome. It displays pretty much every skill Johnson has, from shaking off corners to catching horribly thrown balls by Reggie Ball. It's also set to a pretty kick ass alternative rock soundtrack, if you're into that sort of thing.

Ted Ginn Jr.

It's pretty painful to put this one up here. As a Wolverine it's always hard to give any Buckeye props. Well that video pretty much sums up Ginn. He's good as a receiver and a special teams returner. And he's kind fast. Not "teleport from one place to another" fast, but close. I really hope he doesn't go to the Vikings and turn out to be good.

Dwayne Jarrett

Amazingly enough no one has made a YouTube video montage of Dwayne Jarrett's career highlights at USC. So I decided to put up the amateur video of Dwayne running his slow as dirt 40 yard dash at USC's pro day. You can almost see the dollars flying out of his pockets as he runs.

QUARTERBACKS

JaMarcus Russell

The title of this video on YouTube is THE JaMarcus Russell: THE CANNON. That pretty much sums him up nicely thanks.

Brady Quinn

Sorry, I couldn't help myself with that video. Just great stuff right there. If, however, you are interested in seeing Brady play well then the video below will suffice

See, I'm not all that bad Notre Dame fans....but I do have to ask why this video is set to the song "Spirit in the Sky?"

RUNNING BACK

Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson is good. Hopefully he can avoid the injury bug that plagued his college career because I really think he could be great in the NFL. Extra kudos to this video for using "Requiem for a Dream" from the Lord of the Rings movies, great song for this type of thing. Way better than Notre Dame fan using "Spirit in the Sky."

Marshawn Lynch

Be sure to catch my other Marshawn Lynch video in the post yesterday to see his mad driving skills. As this video shows he could possibly be a Marshall Faulk type back in the NFL. Don't know if he'll be quite that good but we'll see.

Well that's it for today. I would say that I'd do defense tomorrow, but there are precious few YouTube montages of defensive players so there aren't enough to do a full post. Instead enjoy your Sunday, and Happy Easter to those of you of that religious persuasion.
