NFL Draft Preview: Miami Dolphins

miami_dolphins_bg.jpg

Ahhhh....the Dolphins. What can you say? I mean, they are just...wellllllll.....awful. By just winning a single game, you officially are bumped to the top of the list of teams that are probably the worst of all time. After the team redid themselves in terms of office management which included canning first year coach Cam Cameron. And so now, they can finally focus on the thing that matters--players!!

So, where to start? Besides pretty much everything as obvious as it may seem, let's look specifically at certain areas: The first concern is offensive tackle. Vernon Carey is playing out of position, and this is something that they absolutely must have--I don't think I have to remind Dolphins fans of the vicious hit Trent Green took last year. Next, they need to work on defense--defensive end needs some new blood. Jason Taylor has been playing for like 20 years and his time to retire is drawing near. Defensive back is another big concern--the depth is questionable and it's not likely that Will Allen will continue to be as effective, etc., so there needs to be a look here as well.

With the number one pick in the draft, there's been discussion about pretty much every player from Matt Ryan to Glenn Dorsey. But over the last month the biggest push has been for that elusive offensive tackle--and that player is Jake Long from Michigan. If the Dolphins pass on him, they'll be making a huge mistake.
