NFL Draft Live Blog: First Round Picks 6-10

1:00: Well it had to happen sometime. We're an hour into the draft and we have our first Sean Salisbury sighting. He says that if Arizona picks Adrian Peterson they just, "don't get it, and they haven't gotten it for years." Um, didn't you talk about how great they drafted last year with Matt Leinart? How quickly we forget Sean.

1:01: Mark May shows some sanity by saying that it's a bit high for the Cardinals to draft Levi Brown. Salisbury and Michael Smith think they take Brown here. WAY TOO HIGH!

1:03: And with the fifth pick Arizona picks...Levi Brown. Wow...that's quite the reach there.

1:08: The Skins are on the clock with their only pick on the first day of the draft. I'm guessing they may be trading out of this pick. Doesn't ANYBODY want Brady Quinn or Adrian Peterson? Anybody?

1:17: And with the sixth pick the Redskins pick....LaRon Landry. This surprises me a lot. How can the Redskins not trade this pick? Just amazing.

1:19: I'm not really the most excited person to see Adrian Peterson on the board for the Vikings at 7. This kid's a stud and is going to be pretty damn good. Don't like seeing him in the Lions division.

1:23: With the Vikings on the clock you always wonder whether they are actually going to make the pick in the allotted time. Only NFL team that makes you even worry about something like that. Love the Vikes.

1:27: And with the seventh pick the Vikings take....Adrian Peterson. Could be quite the steal at the seventh spot. I'd be worried if I were Chester Taylor....

1:32: So for all the hype of all these trades that were going to go down, this has been a pretty quiet. I thought with Quinn and Peterson falling that somebody would move up. Weird. Maybe someone will try to get to Atlanta's spot to get Quinn before Miami does.

1:38 And with the eighth pick the Falcons take....Jamaal Anderson. I'm pretty surprised Petrino passed up on Okoye here, but they did need an end more than a tackle.

1:44: Looks like Quinn is going to the best situation possible in Miami. He should be thanking the football Gods that he slipped to this point. He may actually be okay as a Dolphin, provided they pick him here *wink wink*

1:46: Why are the Dolphins taking so long to make this pick? We all know that they are taking Quinn here.

1:50: And with the ninth pick the Dolphins take....TED GINN?!?!? WHAT?!?! I'm speechless. This could be the best moment in the draft in a bit. Quinn's face is priceless. Hilarious!

1:53: Mel Kiper's head is about to explode after the Dolphins take Ginn over Quinn. This whole thing is just awesome. Fantastic.

2:04: And with the tenth pick the Texans take....Amobi Okoye. Not really that surprised since he slipped that far. I'm starting to think the Lions should trade up for Quinn. Hmmm.....

How can the Vikings pass on Adrian Peterson? I can't imagine they will. Chester's in trouble. Brad, any thoughts on this? Is Adrian a lock for Minny now?

Mind you, they probably need Brady Quinn more than they need Peterson. I'm not convinced Jackson is a bonafide starter.
