McNabb's injuries couldn't have come at a worse time for Eagles

Donovan McNabb, who has basically been more famous the last couple of seasons for his commentaries off the field rather than his play on the field, is suffering from a swollen thumb and swollen ankle. While the ankle seems to be subsiding, Coach Andy Reid has noted that he is very "concerned" about the thumb. Obviously for a QB, the thumb is hugely important. Hell, for being human beings the thumb is important...

It couldn't have come at a worse time for the Eagles, who take on the Goliath New England Patriots this week. The Pats, who are rolling, would literally eat replacement A.J. Feeley alive, even though Feeley has done decently well in spot starts over the years. Still, with the confidence New England is showing, they have to have McNabb in the lineup if the Eagles want to even be in the game.

A MRI on both the ankle and the hand were negative in terms of breaks, so there's the silver lining. Now, line him up on the trainer's table and start the cortisone, baby!
