Marshall's injury super-sized

branmar.jpg

Ok, so we've all seen some pretty bizarre injuries when it comes to sports athletes. I've heard of baseball players that have strained rib cages sneezing, basketball players that have slipped and fell waxing their cars, and now I have one that I probably will never forget: Brandon Marshall severed an artery, a vein and a nerve in his forearm after putting his arm through a TV screen--but it gets better---this happened because he slipped on a McDonald's bag.

Ummm...ok....now it's always been said that sometimes players "hide" injuries with bizarre stories because of the limitations of their contracts, insurance, etc., but this one takes the cake. First of all, fast food bags don't have a lot of "slip" factor, unless they started offering plastic instead of paper, which I don't believe will ever happen. And TV Screens, while not stone hard, are not exactly fragile either. It would take a very hard hit on the screen for it to go through--but I guess stranger things have happened.

Even if Marshall did this, he has probably opened up the ridicule factor with opposing fans and even his own teammates for a long time. It's bad enough that McDonald's can clog your arteries with their food, now evidently the bags that carry the food can sever them too.
