It's a good week for Trufant

Seattle cornerback Marcus Trufant is having a good week. He's getting married on Saturday!! Oh, and he just signed a little contract worth, oh I don't know...like 50 MILLION dollars!! The Washington State product was simply amazing last year for the Seahawks...ok, amazing may be pushing it, but he did have 7 INTs last year which tied him for third in the league. And he only had nine in his first four years--combined. How interesting a player plays in a contract year, isn't it?

Still, you have to give credit to Jim Mora, who really got Trufant up and going. The best news for Trufant when it comes to his pro football career is that Mora will be the next new coach, so signing a six year deal is probably exactly what he wanted.

This marks yet another big time contract in the offseason: most recently last week, the Oakland Raiders traded with Atlanta for DeAngelo Hall and then gave Hall a $70 million, seven-year deal. The whole contract restructuring is like looking at arabic to me, but it's apparent that it does sometimes work out in favor of the players.

And how much does my ticket cost to a game now? Hmmmm.......
