Honestly, can Patriots be beat?

pats.jpgThe question will obviously be answered in less than 24 hours--can the Pats be beat?

At least in the regular season, that is. They face the upstart New York Giants who are looking to possibly upend what football fans now call the football version of "the Evil Empire". However, no matter if you love them or hate them, you have got to respect their game. Some people have been angered again not knowing what Bill Belichick will do--play his starters wire to wire or pull back? I mean, he does have home field wrapped up and all...

No matter. This is history we're talking about, and with only the 1972 Miami Dolphins being the only team to ever finish perfect, they are embarking not only on something people thought could never be done especially with the parity in the NFL, but they could be posting their names as truly one of the greatest teams ever.

Will Eli Manning suddenly don a Superman cape? Will the defense play better than the stingy Baltimore defense from a few years earlier? Can Lawrence Taylor be revived to play?

The answer is no. The Patriots will win this game, more than likely pull ahead by alot early and cruise. Tom Brady will set the record for most TD passes, Randy Moss will set the record for most receiving TDs. Sorry folks, it's gonna happen.

Will they get beat in the playoffs? Too early to tell, but it could happen....maybe...Oh, who am I fooling?
