Grant enters not guilty plea

GRA397750.jpg

Is there ever "really" a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time? In Charles Grant's case, he is certainly hoping that a jury believes so. Grant, a defensive end for the New Orleans Saints, was at a club in February when a fight broke out, he got stabbed, and a pregnant woman was shot. He was charged with involuntary manslaughter as he is being indicated as the person who was the direct reason things happened as they did along side his cohort Laquient Macklin.

However, as Grant's attorney has pointed out, him merely being there and being stabbed doesn't put any type of evidence that he is the perpetrator of the events, as he has plead not guilty and has been released on 10,000 dollar bond. There is no hearing that has been set or knowledge of what may happen with this as of yet, but Macklin is being charged with the felony murder of the woman and killing a fetus.

When are these guys going to learn? It's almost like the signs you see outside of factories that say "40 days without an accident". Is the league office going to hang a similar sign of "10 days without an arrest"? The rap sheets of these NFL players are starting to get as long as their season stat lists. Ugh.
