Giants fold, Patriots Celebrate

brady1.jpgThey totally played us.

Just like out of a TV drama worthy of an Emmy, the Patriots played the role of the upset victim for almost three quarters. And just like that, they showed why they are 16-0 and basically can control any game they want to. The defense rattled Eli Manning and the Giants offense in the entire fourth quarter until it didn't matter, and Tom Brady and Randy Moss both set NFL records in upending the New York wannabes 38-35.

Yes, it was closer than most thought. But the bottom line is that the Pats are the winners--and they did it in the only way they know best--their own. They didn't get rattled, they didn't fold under the pressure, that was all on the Giants' hands--and again, little Eli proved why is still not close the level that his brother is. Yes, they both lost to them this year, but the Colts were constantly playing catch up against the Pats when they were peaking, and the Giants had the game in hand against a New England team that has been suspect the last couple of outings.

Still, that doesn't take away anything from the win and the season. We are witnessing truly something special.
