Favre to return? Not according to him

0930favre.jpg

The Los Angeles Times says that Brett Favre is considering coming back. Favre, who only retired a month ago, and his agent have "quietly" discussed scenarios with certain teams and the possibility of a trade to them. But, according to Favre, that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Favre cited that he was physically and mentally exhausted when he announced his retirement, which was no surprise. He's set the record for consecutive starts and is 38. He's won literally every trophy that a quarterback can win, including the Super Bowl. He's basically had a legacy that will always be remembered in "cheesehead" country, so I have to wonder as well as to why "unnamed sources" would be leaking this, and why would the LA Times report as such?

Some people have discussed that Favre has not been happy with the Packers' front office after they failed two years to land the biggest fish of the receivers, Randy Moss. I don't think that really matters with Favre--and give the guy some credit even if he was mad at them, that doesn't mean he's going to quit and find another team because of it....that's absurd.
