Burress prediction more fuel for Pats

Plaxico Burress was asked what he thought the score of the game would be. He replied that he thought that his team would win--and then also said the score would be 23-17.

When the Patriots and Tom Brady heard it, they were offended.

Not by the fact that a guy would support his own team--but the fact that he was only giving the Patriots 17 points. This is a team that set all kinds of NFL records for scoring, both team and individual, and while the Giants defense has proven decent in the NFC playoffs, they haven't been exactly dominant. So therefore--why the diss?

Brady joked about it, but why in the world would you give a team that has already gone through the season without anyone touching them, including beating your own team after leading at half, and then disrespect them in the biggest game of the season? One of the first things you teach your players is to NOT GIVE LOCKER ROOM MATERIAL to any team--regardless.

Plaxico, you have officially been labeled a bonehead.
