Boooooooo: Vick gets to keep bonus

Michael Vick gets to keep all but 3.75 million of his 20 million dollar signing bonus as ruled by a federal judge.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, at least now he'll be able to pay off some of the inmates so he doesn't have to get passed around for a carton of smokes. Or maybe he can front some more of his dog kennels and bet on some fights while he's in the pen. Even more so, he may be able to pay more for a lawyer who will cut him a sweet deal to get him out before it's time.

Either way, this sucks, and there's no justice here and no logic to it either. What the judge SHOULD have said was that he could keep the over 16 million of it but then would have to donate at least 10 million to PETA. I'm not a dog nut or one of those holier than thou types, but I would be damned to see a spoiled athlete that has done some very inhumane things to be given what I won't make in a lifetime. If you weren't ashamed of yourself before Mr. Vick, you should be now.

I HATE the legal system. While the players' association felt that this had long-reaching repercussions should Vick not be awarded the money and could ultimately affect other players, they are not looking at the bigger picture--the message it sends once again to the fans of the NFL and the impressionable kids and teens. This was a good chance to continue to send a message about such savage crimes, and like what seems to happen a lot in the NFL, they dropped the ball.
