2007 NFL Fantasy Outlook: Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have more question marks that most teams out there. Their first year coach Cam Cameron could go in two different directions--one like Sean Payton did last year with the Saints, or like a lot of rookie coaches, totally go down the tank. With some of the personnel Cameron has, he could do some damage--will it be in the vicinity of what Payton did? No, but it won't be in the Gary Kubiak area either.

QB Trent Green--After flourishing in point-happy Kansas City, Green inherits a team that normally is known for its defense, and every QB that suits up is compared to the great Dan Marino. While some argue that Green is over the hill and will flop in Miami, I think that although his receivers are a little "aged", they are still more quality than what he had in KC. He could be a good QB to get later as a starter and it will still provide good results.

RB Ronnie Brown--So many people cried the blues after Ricky Williams tested positve for marijuana for like the 15th time, but why? Brown is a great back, a workhorse who gets the job done. He's not flashy, but he's efficient. Don't overlook him.

TE David Martin--Randy McMichael, a Dolphins favorite for years, is gone, and some are saying that Martin should put up numbers that McMichael had--why? He hasn't proven anything, and McMichael had some great hands--don't draft him unless you are seeking some super sleeper gambling excitement out of your team.

WR Chris Chambers--This WR has long been the go-to guy in Miami, and that should not change this year. While Green targeted Eddie Kennison in KC, he will focus on Chambers here in Miami, which should give him better numbers this year. While he may not be a first-tier WR, he's definitely a great #2 receiver.

WR Marty Booker/Az-Zahir Hakim--Both of these guys have seen better days, but if you forget about them, they'll burn you. Still, for fantasy owners, they should only be used as bye week fill ins, and that's all I have to say about that.

Cameron's crew should be decent--I stress should be. Keep a good eye on their development in the preseason and make a gut call. Pass the Tums.
